Additional Domain Extensions suggestion is a GHL Customer Care feature designed to help you secure your brand by recommending popular alternative domain endings when you purchase or manage a domain. By automatically suggesting extra TLDs, this feature not only minimizes impersonation risks but also simplifies the process of securing all relevant domain extensions with a single, transparent transaction.

## **How to Use the Additional Domain Extensions Suggestion**

GHL Customer Care now allows you to purchase **additional domain extensions** either when **buying a new domain** or while **managing an existing one**. This feature helps protect your brand by securing multiple extensions of your domain name. Follow the steps below:

### **1.** **When Purchasing a Domain**

1.  Log in to your sub-account.
    
2.  Click on **Settings** in the left-hand menu.

9. Up to three alternative extensions (e.g.,.net,.uk,.org) will be suggested.
10. Click on an extension you want to add, then click Add for $X.XX (price will vary by domain).
11. Repeat for each additional extension you’d like.
12. The modal will display the total cost of:

**Q: How many additional domain extensions can I purchase at a time?**

You can select up to 3 additional domain suggestions along with your main domain.

**Q: Is it mandatory to purchase the recommended additional extensions?**

No, you can opt to purchase a standalone domain without selecting any additional extensions.

**Q: Will there be extra costs for these additional domain extensions?**

Yes, the extra cost is clearly displayed during the purchase process, providing complete pricing transparency.

**Q: Can I add additional domain extensions to an already owned domain?**

Absolutely – if you own a domain, a “Protect your brand” banner in the domain details page allows you to purchase additional extensions.

****Q: Will adding extensions impact DNS for my current primary domain?****

No. Purchasing an additional extension creates a separate domain with its own DNS zone. Its records are managed independently inside GHL Customer Care and do not change the DNS of your existing primary domain unless you explicitly edit records or set up redirects.
