Rooms can also be tied to equipment, users, and availability settings, making them essential for appointment-based workflows.

## **How to Set Up Rooms**

Creating Rooms ensures your calendar availability aligns with physical spaces or virtual resources, preventing overlapping appointments and improving scheduling accuracy.

### **Step 1:** Enable Rooms

-   Navigate to **Settings > Calendar Settings** in the primary navigation bar
-   Select the **Preferences** tab in the secondary navigation ribbon
-   Select the **Account Preference** tab located under Preferences
-   Turn on the blue **Rooms** toggle, located in the Services section
-   Click the blue button labelled **Save Preferences** in the bottom right corner

To set up your Room, complete the following fields:

-   **Name**: Assign a clear and specific name to identify the space (e.g., “Consultation Room 2”).
    
-   **Description**: Add additional notes about the Room’s intended use.
    
-   **Total** **Capacity**: Specify maximum number of appointments that can be scheduled in the room simultaneously.
-   **Select Calendar**: Choose the calendars you wish to associate with this equipment.

Once all details are entered, click **Create** to create the Room.
